Applying for jobs

Our recruitment process varies depending on which type of role you’re applying for, but it’s always our goal to learn as much about you as possible, and to help you decide if Bupa is right for you and your career goals. You can learn more about our recruitment process here.

All of our vacant positions are advertised on our regularly updated careers website. Please visit the careers website, where you can filter by location to see if there is a position available in the area you are interested in.

We recommend that all applications for open positions should be submitted to our online careers site. Our recruitment team works closely with all our managers to fill current vacancies, so you will find all open roles on our career site.

We are regularly recruiting for a range of professionals, from clinical to technology, head office roles and support personnel. Learn more about the types of roles we hire for on our Bupa careers website.

Unfortunately, we don’t have a graduate program here at Bupa.

You can apply for any intern or junior level roles that are advertised on our Bupa careers website. If you’ve visited our careers site and there’s no roles that look right for you right now, we encourage you to check our career page regularly. We have new roles advertised almost every day.

It is best that you apply for all roles you are interested in. However, once you have applied for a role with us, your profile will be stored in our application system talent pool, and we may contact you if there is another role that looks like it might suit you.

If you’ve visited our careers site and there are no roles that look right for you, you can submit your CV by emailing the recruitment team: recruitment@bupa.co.nz. We’ll reach out to you if we find the perfect fit. We encourage you to check our career page regularly. We have new roles advertised almost every day and applying directly to a role is the best way to ensure our recruitment team sees your application.

Selection process

After you submit your application, we’ll send you an automated email to let you know we received it. If you meet the requirements for the role, we’ll be in touch to advise on the next steps in the process. If you haven’t met the requirements, you’ll receive a response after the application closing date to let you know you’ve been unsuccessful.

This can vary depending on each vacancy. If your application has reached the interview stage or beyond, you will usually receive feedback within 14 days from the closing date for the role. If you’re not the right fit for the role, we will let you know via email that your application has been unsuccessful. We’re unable to provide feedback to candidates who have been unsuccessful prior to an interview.

As part of the selection process for all roles, Bupa carries out a police/criminal check and we require our people to be up to date with their COVID-19 vaccinations. We’ll also check in with your referees.
