Registered Nurse & Unit Coordinator
Lower Hutt, New Zealand
Registered Nurse & Unit Coordinator (Permanent Part Time, 26 hrs/week, 6-Week Roster) – Stokes Valley, Lower Hutt
If you are a senior Registered Nurse who is already running shifts and mentoring others, but not quite ready to step away from clinical work, this is a practical next step.
This role combines 18 hours of hands-on Registered Nurse work with 8 hours as a Unit Coordinator. You stay close to residents while taking on structured leadership responsibility each week.
You will be part of a stable team at Bupa Stokeswood Care Home, working a clear 6-week rotating roster. You will know exactly when you are on the floor and when you are coordinating, with defined hours and consistent expectations.
As the RN, you will lead clinical care, manage routines, and maintain standards across shifts. As the Unit Coordinator, you will oversee workflow, support staff, and ensure the unit is running smoothly. It is not theory. It is day-to-day leadership that keeps the home functioning well.
This suits a nurse who already takes ownership on shift, is comfortable guiding others, and wants a structured pathway into leadership without losing clinical practice.
