Permanent Part Time Registered Nurse + Unit Coordinator | Average 26 Hours Per Week

This permanent part-time dual role at our Stokeswood Care Home in Lower Hutt, Wellington offers the perfect balance. You’ll spend 18 hours per week as a Registered Nurse delivering quality resident care, alongside 8 hours as a Unit Coordinator, supporting the team, coordinating the floor, and keeping things running smoothly.
With shifts across Monday to Sunday, this role suits an experienced RN who enjoys variety, leadership responsibility, and the flexibility that comes with part-time work. You’ll be trusted, supported, and genuinely valued for both your clinical expertise and your ability to guide others.

Registered Nurse Hours & Roster Details:
- Employment Type: Permanent Part-Time
- Hours: Average 18 hours per week
- Shift Time: Morning Shifts, 6:45am to 3:15pm
- Roster Pattern: 6-weekly roster across Monday - Sunday
Unit Coordinator Hours & Roster Details:
- Employment Type: Permanent Part-Time
- Hours: Average 8 hours per week
- Shift Time: Morning Shift, 8:00am to 4:30pm
- Roster Pattern: 1 Shift Per Week on a 6-weekly roster across Monday Friday
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred clinical care for residents in care homes across various levels of care.
- Lead a team of caregivers and nurses to provide the highest quality clinical care within the Unit
- Conduct medication rounds, manage care plans, and maintain accurate paperwork.
- Stand up and tell us where we can invest more to ensure continuous quality improvement.
Skills and Experience
You’ll help us make a real difference through your RN experience, personal passion, and empathy.
- Hold a current APC and NZ Nursing Council Registration.
- Previous experience and a passion for leading a team to mentor and support others
- Excellent clinical skills in adult care and ideal aged care experience.
- Confident communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities.
