About the role
This is a rare and exciting opportunity for a seasoned sales leader who is passionate about leading a best-in-class customer sales experience, delivered with care and empathy to potential residents looking to transition into village or care home living.

You will lead though insightful data driven decision making, using your relationship and influencing skills to drive excellent sales performance, achieve annual sales target, enhance sales capability, deliver the optimal customer experience and provide visible sales leadership across Bupa Villages and Care Homes.  Equally, this role requires the ability to listen, high levels of EQ, and impeccable leadership.

There is currently an established and experienced network of sales professionals across the country that have been delivering to key targets. This role is about creating an environment to take the business to the next step.

Where you’ll make an impact

  • Coaching, leading, and developing a sales function that enhances the Bupa brand while delivering outstanding sales results. A focus on continuous improvement to build overall sales capability, ensuring a more efficient, effective and customer friendly sales process. 
  • Develop, manage and execute sales plans that achieve or exceed the annual sales plan across Bupa Villages and Care Homes. 
  • Coaching and implementing best practice behaviours, standards and policies for optimal sales database and pipeline management. Ensuring the best possible experience for Bupa customers across their journey 
  • Through feedback, data and insights identify areas of improvement in the sales process to deliver a more efficient process and to provide an improved customer experience. 
  • Develop, utilise, and direct sales learning strategies, programs, tools and resources to build sales capability across the organisation. Ensuring all have the sales knowledge, skills, resources, and motivation to succeed.
  • Foster knowledge, insight and awareness of the competitor landscape and property market. Apply this knowledge with commercial acumen for the development and implementation of pricing strategies for Bupa products.


About you

You will be a customer obsessed sales leader with a continuous improvement mindset with influencing skills to challenge the status quo to deliver truly positive customer outcome.

You will be someone who uses data and insights to inform decisions and equally able to motivate people, align teams nationwide and develop, manage and deliver bespoke sales plans. Equally you will have intimate knowledge of the industry and ability to stay one step ahead of market changes.

We are seeking someone that can demonstrate:

  • 5+ years senior sales leadership and management (ideally nationally), account / relationship management, business development and customer service or previous roles within the retirement village or aged care sector would be an advantage but not essential.
  • Proven record in the delivery of achieving business targets; customer, people and commercial. 
  • Customer obsessed and passionate about positive outcomes.
  • Natural collaborator, relationship builder and ability to influence. Proven experience in leading a diverse group of people and functions to deliver business goals. 
  • Ability to successfully lead a network of sales professionals using a matrix management system.
  • Data and insights driven decision maker.
