About the Role
This is a great opportunity for a Registered Nurse where you can use your expertise to help nurture and support clinical staff as a Quality Partner in this permanent, full-time role. Based in Christchurch, and working across our South Island region, you will be enabling our Care Home Managers and Clinical Managers to effectively deliver continuous quality improvement and excellent care.
This role will involve travel to our 9 care homes across Christchurch, Riverton, Gore, and Invercargill, where you will be involved in:
- Developing and imbedding quality systems in care homes.
- Assist with implementation of corrective actions following care home health checks and spot audits, provide coaching support through the process.
- Provide orientation to new Care Home Managers and Clinical Managers regarding quality systems and the Continuous Quality Improvement cycle.
- Role model, nurture, and enable care home staff with delivery of education and training techniques.
- Assist care homes with preparation for surveillance and certification audits and support post surveillance/certification audits.
- Travel includes: about 1 week per month to our care homes in Riverton, Gore, and Invercargill. You will visit one care home per fortnight across our 6 Christchurch-based care homes.
What About You:
- Registered Nurse with a current APC, alongside minimum five years’ RN experience.
- Experience in the aged care sector desirable.
- Preferred previous experience in a quality assurance / quality improvement role or active involvement in quality improvement activities.
- Experience with clinical audits and ideal experience in an electronic clinical documentation system (such as VCare).
- Empathetic with ability to communicate well.
- Flexible and adaptable with the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong planning, organisational, and prioritisation skills.
- Full NZ driver’s licence is required.
- Applicants must be legally entitled to work in NZ.
