Village Coordinator
At Bupa Longwood Retirement Village, located in Riverton, we have an exciting opportunity for a Village Coordinator to join our community. Bupa Longwood consists of 28 modern villas.
About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager, the Village Coordinator is responsible for the smooth and efficient running of the day-to-day operations of the Retirement Village to achieve high levels of resident satisfaction.
- Managing the enquiries and sales process and ensuring an easy transition into village life.
- Supporting the resident’s welfare and wellbeing while they are living in the village.
- Providing ongoing social connections and managing the monthly activities programme.
- Ensuring smooth day-to-day administration and operations of the village (including resident transport)
- Continuing to maintain a high standard of presentation of the community areas and grounds.
- Work with the General Manager to achieve sales, occupancy, and financial targets for the village.
- Attend to residents’ day to day-to-day maintenance needs and oversee refurbishment of apartments.
Hours of Work:
This is a Permanent Part Time position, 30 hours per week, with occasional weekend/evening work to help oversee open home viewings and quarterly evening events when agreed upon with the General Manager.
About you
The Village Coordinator role will suit people who enjoy working with the elderly, are empathic and have a fun, inclusive, and outgoing personality.
- You’ll have previous experience in an administration and/or customer service role, ideally in an age-related healthcare setting.
- You’ll have sound communication and interpersonal skills and easily build rapport.
- You must have the ability to engage the elderly, be patient, listen to their needs and professionally manage their expectations.
- A high level of computer literacy is required for this role along with sound organisation and administration skills.
- Demonstrated experience in sales and proven strong customer-focus ability.
- A clean current driver's license with at least 5 years of driving experience, a relevant qualification and a workplace First Aid Certificate is preferred.
