Cleaner - Housekeeper

This is why The Booms Care Home in Thames is searching for like-mind Cleaners to join our community. This is a great opportunity to work close to home, avoiding the hustle and bustle of city traffic, and working the hours that fit your schedule. As part of our Housekeeping team, you will help create a homely and healthy place for our residents by providing an exceptional cleaning service to the Care Home. You will help us rise to the challenges of enriching the lives of society’s most vulnerable.
We have two permanent, part time positions available:
1) Average 21 hours per week (total of 126 hrs in a 6-week roster pattern)
- 4 days on, 2 days off pattern, covering Monday - Sunday
- Shifts are 2 days of 7:30am - 2pm and 2 days of 5pm - 8pm
2) Average 14 hours per week (total of 84 hours in a 6-week roster pattern)
- 4 days on, 2 days off, covering Monday - Sunday
- Shifts are 5pm – 8pm
Where You Will Make an Impact
- Maintain a high standard of cleaning as set out on the cleaning schedule.
- Managing cleaning supplies.
- Meeting of daily schedule to ensure that residents’ rooms and public areas are in perfect order, reporting any faults or issues to the Household supervisor.
- Adhere to Health & Safety policies, procedures, and safe chemical use and storage.
- Treat residents with respect and dignity.
What About You
- Previous cleaning experience in a similar environment is preferable.
- Be prepared to roll up your sleeve and get stuck into whatever needs to get done.
- Demonstrate enthusiasm, care, and passion for making a difference in our residents’ lives.
- Must have flexible availability for a variety of shifts throughout the week, including weekends and evenings.
- Reliable transport or travel arrangements.
- Applicants must be legally entitled to work in NZ.
