About You

- Making Residents' Lives Better: You're always doing things to keep residents healthy and happy, which means fewer trips to the hospital, better movement, and feeling mentally good.
- Helping Staff Grow: You're great at finding and teaching new staff, and you keep helping them learn and get better at their jobs.
- Making Things Better: You've made changes before to make resident care better, like implement quality improvement initiatives, monitoring performance metrics, and implementing best practices.
This is a permanent, full-time role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, located in Thames which is positioned right next to the sea, boasting magnificent views of the Firth of Thames. You can enjoy the view from our colourful rose gardens or take a short stroll down to Kuranui Bay. Where You’ll Make an Impact:
- Provide person-centred clinical care for residents in a 70-bed care home across rest home, hospital, and dementia level of care
- 3-year audit certification where you can continue the success of the team with providing the best care
- Lead a team of caregivers and nurses to provide the highest quality clinical care
- Conduct medication rounds, manage care plans, lead in-service education sessions for staff, and maintain accurate paperwork
- Stand up and tell us where we can invest more to ensure continuous quality improvement
Your Person-First Approach:
- You’ll help us make a real difference through your Clinical Leadership experience, personal passion, and empathy.
- Hold a current APC and NZ Nursing Council Registration
- Passion for leading a team to mentor and support others
- Leading continuous quality improvements
- Excellent clinical skills in adult care and ideal aged care experience
- Confident communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities
- A compassionate nurse who strives for excellence and to make an impact in residents’ lives
