Registered Nurse – Fixed Term Part Time | 28 Hours per Week | 4-On 4-Off Roster | Thames

Bupa Tararu Care Home in Thames is looking for a Registered Nurse to join the team on a fixed-term basis through to 11 November 2026.

This is a role for a nurse who enjoys structured days, clinical ownership, and building strong relationships with residents and families over time. You’ll be trusted to manage your shifts confidently, support caregivers on the floor, and maintain high clinical standards in a calm and supportive aged care environment.

Located in Thames, Bupa Tararu Care Home offers the lifestyle balance many nurses are actively searching for, a supportive team, steady workload, and more time outside of work to recharge properly.

Hours & Roster Details:

  • Employment Type: Permanent Part-Time
  • Hours: Average 28 hours per week
  • Shift Time: 1 x Morning, 2 x Afternoon & 1 x Night
  • Roster Pattern: 4 shifts on, 4 shifts off (8-weekly roster across Monday - Sunday)

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Provide person-centred clinical care for residents in care homes across various levels of care.
  • Lead a team of caregivers to provide the highest quality clinical care.
  • Conduct medication rounds, manage care plans, and maintain accurate paperwork.
  • Stand up and tell us where we can invest more to ensure continuous quality improvement. 

Skills and Qualifications

You’ll help us make a real difference through your RN experience, personal passion, and empathy.

  • Hold a current APC and NZ Nursing Council Registration.
  • Excellent clinical skills in adult care and ideal aged care experience.
  • Confident communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities.
  • A compassionate nurse who strives for excellence and to make an impact in residents’ lives.
