That’s why Bupa Fergusson Village is seeking a Village Coordinator to join our community. As the Village Coordinator, you will be tasked with assisting the General Manager to achieve high levels of resident satisfaction through the effective delivery of the full range of day-to-day operations of the village.

This role is permanent, full-time role working 40 hours per week with flexible start and finish times for the right candidate. From time to time you will be required to work weekends/evenings for open days and events at the village.

Key Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Support the village residents' welfare, well-being, and overall experience.
  • Be accountable for the day-to-day administration and operations of the village.
  • Manage the enquiries and sales process and ensure an easy transition into village life.
  • Work with the General Manager to achieve village sales, occupancy, and financial targets.
  • Provide ongoing social connections and manage the monthly activities programme.
  • Organise activities, transport, and events to meet the needs of the village residents. 
  • Manage the Induction Programme for all new residents into the Village.
  • Attend to residents’ day-to-day maintenance needs, oversee apartment refurbishments, and maintain a high standard of presentation of the community areas and grounds.

About you

We are looking for someone with an engaging style, an understanding of commercial drivers, and excellent interpersonal skills. 

  • Previous experience in an administration, customer service, and/or sales role, ideally in a related healthcare setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and easily build rapport.
  • Engage with our elderly residents, have patience, listen to their needs, and professionally manage their expectations
  • High level of computer literacy, organisational, and administration skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders while working to meet deadlines.
  • A clean current driver's license with at least 5 years driving experience.
  • Preferably, you’ll also have a relevant qualification and a workplace First Aid Certificate.
  • Applicants must be legally entitled to work in NZ.
