Registered Nurse – Fixed Term until 1-May-2026 | Full Time | 32 Hours Per Week

Step into a role where your aged care experience truly matters. We’re looking for a reliable, confident RN ready to take ownership of Afternoon and Night shifts supporting residents with calm, capable leadership at our Bupa Stokeswood Care Home in Lower Hutt, Wellington.

This fixed-term contract through to 01 May 2026 offers full-time stability while giving you the freedom to plan your next step beyond the term.

Your ability to support care staff, maintain resident safety, and keep the rhythm of the care home running smoothly during quieter hours will help you excel.

Bring your 1+ year of aged care experience, your clinical sharpness, and your commitment to consistent, high-quality care—this is a role where your presence will make a real impact every shift.

  • Employment Type: Fixed Term Full Time until 1-May-2026
  • Hours: Average 32 Hours Per Week
  • Shift Time: 2 x Afternoon and 2 x Nights
  • Roster Pattern: 4 shifts on, 2 shifts off (6-weekly roster across Monday - Sunday)

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Provide person-centred clinical care for residents in care homes across various levels of care.
  • Lead a team of caregivers to provide the highest quality clinical care.
  • Conduct medication rounds, manage care plans, and maintain accurate paperwork.
  • Stand up and tell us where we can invest more to ensure continuous quality improvement. 

Skills and Qualifications

You’ll help us make a real difference through your RN experience, personal passion, and empathy.

  • Hold a current APC and NZ Nursing Council Registration.
  • Excellent clinical skills in adult care and ideal aged care experience.
  • Confident communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities.
  • A compassionate nurse who strives for excellence and to make an impact in residents’ lives.
