Cleaner - Housekeeper

This is why Totara Gardens Retirement Village in Tikipunga, Whangarei is searching for a like-mind Cleaner-Housekeeper to join our community on a permanent part-time basis working 10 hours per week. This is a great opportunity to work close to home, avoiding the hustle and bustle of city traffic, and working the hours that fit your schedule.
This Cleaner-Housekeeper role will work Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 5 hours per day (10 hours per week minimum guaranteed). There is flexibility on the hours worked during business hours on these days to suit a healthy work-life balance.
As part of our Housekeeping team, you will help create a homely and healthy place for our residents by providing an exceptional cleaning service to the serviced apartments in the retirement village. You will help us rise to the challenges of enriching the lives of society’s most vulnerable.
Where You Will Make an Impact
- Maintain a high standard of cleaning as set out on the cleaning schedule.
- Manage cleaning supplies.
- Meeting of daily schedule to ensure that residents’ rooms and public areas are in perfect order, reporting any faults or issues to the Household supervisor.
- Adhere to Health & Safety policies, procedures, and safe chemical use and storage.
- Treat residents with respect and dignity.
What About You
- Previous cleaning experience in a similar environment is preferable.
- Be prepared to roll up your sleeve and get stuck into whatever needs to get done.
- Demonstrate enthusiasm, care, and passion for making a difference in our residents’ lives.
- Must have flexible availability for a variety of shifts throughout the week, including weekends and evenings.
- Reliable transport or travel arrangements.
- Applicants must be legally entitled to work in NZ.
