SCAM ALERT: Be aware of scammers impersonating Bupa recruitment personnel. Read More

Recruitment scams

Unfortunately, fraudsters are impersonating Bupa employed recruiters to encourage people to part with private information and/or money.

These recruitment scams may be circulating via text messages and WhatsApp but also emails - targeting individuals via non-Bupa email accounts such as gmail.com.

All official Bupa email correspondence originates from a valid Bupa email address only i.e. @bupa.co.nz or @bupa.com.au.

Below we have provided some useful information to help you spot and report anything suspicious.

To help spot a potential scam, here are some tips to look out for:

  • Be cautious of messages that appear out of the blue from a number/ email address you don't recognise.
  • Be cautious if there is urgency to the request or an emotional trigger
  • Do not click on any links if you are suspicious as they could contain malware that could be installed on your device.
  • Get a second opinion if you're being asked for money or personal details, such as your CV.
  • Watch out for poorly written messages and adverts that contain spelling errors.

Bupa will never make a job offer or send a letter of employment without a formal interview process and will never ask for money as part of our recruitment, job offer or visa process.

All Bupa offer letters/contracts are sent via the Bupa Recruitment team and will always come from a Bupa noreply email: Bupa NZ Jobs noreply@jobs.bupa.nz.

If you are unsure of the legitimacy of the letter of offer you have received, please reach out to the recruitment team on recruitment@bupa.co.nz.
