Fixed Term Registered Nurse (Night Shift) | 32 Hours/Week | 4 on 2 off | Prebbleton, Christchurch

Working a stable 4 on, 2 off night shift roster across 32 hours per week, you’ll step into a routine that allows you to focus, think clearly, and build genuine connections with residents over time. This is an environment where your clinical judgement, attention to detail, and ability to remain calm and composed overnight truly make a difference.

We’re looking for a Registered Nurse who brings not only strong clinical capability, but also the confidence to work independently at night, the awareness to anticipate changes in resident condition, and the communication skills to provide reassurance to both residents and families when it matters most. Your ability to manage your time effectively, prioritise care, and maintain accurate documentation will be essential, as will your empathy, patience, and commitment to delivering respectful, person-centred care.

Hours & Roster Details:

• Employment Type: Fixed Term from 19-Jul-2026 to 24-Jan-2027 (6-months)
• Hours: Average 32 hours per week
• Shift Time: Night Shift
• Roster Pattern: 4 shifts on, 2 shifts off (6-weekly roster across Monday - Sunday)

Duties and Responsibilities 

• Provide person-centred clinical care for residents in care homes across various levels of care.
• Lead a team of caregivers to provide the highest quality clinical care.
• Conduct medication rounds, manage care plans, and maintain accurate paperwork.
• Stand up and tell us where we can invest more to ensure continuous quality improvement.

Skills and Qualifications

• Hold a current APC and NZ Nursing Council Registration.
• Excellent clinical skills in adult care and ideal aged care experience.
• Confident communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities.
