About the role

Are you an experienced Payroll Administrator who takes pride in providing excellent customer service and accurate payroll outcomes?

We currently have a great full-time opportunity to join our established and friendly payroll team in our Newmarket head office.

As Payroll Administrator, you will be part of a team of 6 who provide end-to-end payroll support for our 4000+ Bupa contractors, temps and permanent employees.  

No two days are quite the same. From employee queries and payroll processing through to legislative requirements and payroll reporting, you'll be involved in a broad range of activities that will help expand your payroll knowledge and experience while helping ensure accurate and timely payroll outcomes.

This is an opportunity to join an established payroll team supporting a large and complex workforce, with the opportunity to broaden your payroll knowledge while being supported by a manager committed to development and learning.

What about you

We are looking for an enthusiastic, collaborative team player with strong communication skills and attention to detail who can demonstrate:

  • 2-3 years relevant payroll experience, preferably within a large, complex organisation
  • Knowledge of electronic payroll systems, experience using Chris21 / iChris payroll software and Kronos Time & Attendance would be advantageous 
  • In‑depth knowledge of KiwiSaver and PAYE processes, including preparation and filing
  • Proven knowledge of Employment Relations Acts and Legislations appropriate to the payroll environment, including the Employment Relations Act 2000, Wages Protection Act 1983, and Holidays Act 2003
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with intermediate Excel skills
  • An excellent eye for detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with multiple deadlines
