The purpose of this job
Bupa Merrivale Care Home is located in Te Kamo, Whangārei, in a peaceful setting surrounded by landscaped gardens and close to Kamo Village. The home provides rest home and hospital-level care.
As a Cook, while adhering to food Hygiene and Safety you will make an impact on:
- Menu planning and implementation
- Food preparation
- Special event catering
- Ordering and monitoring supplies
What you’ll need to make it possible
- Qualified Cook/Chef with an NZQA-recognised culinary qualification (or equivalent) and at least 1 year of cooking experience
- Hands-on, proactive attitude with the flexibility to support all aspects of kitchen operations when needed
- Dedicated to delivering high-quality meals for our aged care residents
- Ensure resident confidentiality
- Reliable transport/ ability to travel to and from the workplace consistently
- Applicants must be legally eligible to work in New Zealand.
