Employment Opportunities at Bupa: Be at the Heart of Aged Care
Every day, in every way, we bring real heart to work. It is what drives us to deliver our refreshingly different person-first commitment to care. That is why we are seeking people like you to join our care homes in Whangārei: Bupa Tōtara Gardens Care Home, a 56-bed care home offering all levels of care, and Bupa Merrivale Care Home, a 66-bed care home offering rest home & hospital level of care.
Our care homes in Tikipunga and Kamo, Whangārei, offer supportive leadership that fosters a welcoming environment where you can make a true difference, all while developing your career. You will be passionate about what you do, take pride in providing quality care, be a team player, and build relationships with residents and their families. Help us rise to the challenges of enriching the lives of our society’s most vulnerable.
A range of permanent, casual, and fixed term opportunities are available.
These roles are typically on a rotating roster pattern, so you will need to have flexibility. You should also have flexibility to work across both care homes when needed to provide support.
- Caregivers: provide compassionate care and support with activities of daily living to our residents to enrich their lives.
- Kitchen Managers: manage a kitchen team and lead provision of food services for both care home and village residents.
- Activities Assistants: contribute your fun and creative ideas to our activities programme.
- Cleaner-Housekeepers: create a homely and healthy place for our residents by providing an exceptional cleaning service.
- Cooks and Kitchen Assistants: ensure that the food and nutritional needs of our residents are met.
- Laundry Workers: help create a homely and healthy place for our residents by providing an exceptional laundry service.
- Registered Nurses: provide person-centred clinical care for residents and lead a team of caregivers.
- Administrative Support: deliver high level of customer service and reception duties, and efficiently manage administrative tasks.
Our Bupa Care Homes are based in Whangārei, Northland, a beautiful city which is just two hours north of Auckland and an hour from the Bay of Islands, known for having some of the best beaches and coastline in New Zealand. Whangārei is a thriving city with a vibrant arts community, and you will be connected to a natural environment and have the stunning 26m Whangārei Falls nearby (often called the 'most photogenic waterfall in New Zealand'). Join a team that is passionate about what they do, with managers providing dynamic, supportive leadership.
