In this role you will help deliver a smooth, accurate and trusted payroll experience for our people.
Where you will make an impact
- Process payroll accurately and on time, helping ensure our people are paid correctly each pay cycle.
- Manage approved time and attendance records, new starters, terminations, employment changes, allowances, deductions, leave and adjustments.
- Review reports, exceptions and reconciliations, resolving issues quickly and confidently.
- Maintain accurate payroll information and reliable people data.
- Complete pay period, month-end and year-end activities that support a smooth payroll experience.
- Use Paytools and ServiceNow to respond to payroll queries and support great service delivery.
- Identify practical ways to improve payroll processes, accuracy and team outcomes.
About You
- At least 2 years’ end-to-end New Zealand payroll processing experience.
- Experience working in a high-volume payroll environment.
- Practical knowledge of New Zealand payroll legislation and employment obligations.
- Confidence using payroll and people systems; experience with iChris, UKG Dimensions WorkforcePro, Workday, ServiceNow and Paytools is desirable.
- Strong customer service, stakeholder management, analytical, problem-solving and numeracy skills.
- High attention to detail, with the ability to work under pressure and meet payroll deadlines.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, lookups and pivot tables.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Copilot.
