Health Hub Manager

In this role, you’ll lead the growth and delivery of Bupa’s Health Hub and emerging healthcare services for older people. This is a broad leadership role where you’ll shape safe, customer-centred services across allied health, registered nursing, virtual care and external provider networks.
You’ll be accountable for the end-to-end customer journey for new services — from enquiry and assessment through to service coordination, review and escalation — while driving service growth, operational excellence, commercial performance and continuous improvement.
Working across Bupa and with trusted partners, you’ll help build services that are safe, consistent, scalable and genuinely make a difference for older people and their whānau.
Where you will make an impact
- Lead the safe, effective and customer-centred delivery of Health Hub, allied health, RN, telehealth and virtual care services.
- Shape, establish and scale new services that support older people to access the right care, in the right way, at the right time.
- Provide leadership and support to Health Hub team members, building capability, accountability and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Drive operational and commercial performance, including service growth, utilisation, productivity, quality, outcomes and customer retention.
- Use customer, workforce, service and financial insights to guide decisions, improve performance and realise benefits.
- Build and manage external provider and funder relationships, ensuring clear standards, agreements, referral pathways and performance measures.
- Own the end-to-end customer experience, making sure customers and their families receive clear information, coordinated support and responsive service.
- Partner across Villages, Care Homes, Clinical & Quality, Customer, Digital, Finance, Procurement and Operations to embed and grow integrated services.
- Provide clear reporting and advice to senior leaders on performance, risks, trends and opportunities.
About You
You’re a confident health leader who can turn ideas into safe, practical and customer-focused services. You bring commercial confidence, strong relationship skills and the ability to lead people through change with clarity and care. You will bring:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in management, health or a related field.
- Experience leading healthcare, care, customer or service operations in complex environments.
- Strong people leadership, with the ability to build trust, lift performance and grow positive team culture.
- Proven experience leading change, service improvement or new service implementation.
- Sound knowledge of quality, risk, compliance and clinical governance.
- Commercial confidence, using customer, operational and financial insights to improve performance.
- Strong influencing skills across clinical, operational, commercial and corporate teams.
- Experience working with external providers, partnerships or contracted services.
- A pragmatic, solutions-focused style and confidence leading evolving service models.
- A nursing background with current NZ registration and APC would be highly regarded, as would experience in allied health, aged care, primary care, home and community health, telehealth or digital health.
